Thank You to Our Veterans

I am not a poet, so keep this in mind... I am doing my best to thank the veterans for their service.

For This I Thank You...

Crossing sands, crossing time;

Crossing borders, lives on the line;

Weighted minds, weighted packs;

Heavy responsibilities on your backs;

Long day with little pay; protecting the world and the American way;

Missing family, missing friends;

Chasing the warmongers to the very ends;

Come home to us, safe, come home to us sound;

For those who don’t, give you sacred ground;

Bless your heart, bless your mind;

Bless your motto: No one left behind;

Thank you for your service and sacrifice;

To take our country’s enemies and put them on ice!
